It's a big sandbox
Having my brother visiting is always nice, there's something about family and close friends that's so relaxing. Anyway, he's got two kids, almost the same age, that are always.. negotiating. It's funny to see how they can be fighting over one small thing, say a shovel, just because one of them wants it, and there are lots of other things to play with.I've pondered long, and hard, about teamwork. I think teamwork is about accepting other people's role working towards a goal, and accepting that each member contributes their share to the common goal. It's simple really.
Getting over ego, and understanding that everything you're saying is likely to misunderstood in the beginning, as you're building a relationship, and that trust takes some time to develop.
I started thinking about this as I was watching a program on the TV about genetics, and how flies have much in common with humans. Male flies would behave aggressively when there was a female around, or when they were defining territory.
It's a good thing we're developed. Or are we?
